Packing list materials

We suggest taking suitable outdoor clothes, warm but light sweaters and casual jackets which are able to keep your body protected from cold and wind. Two pairs of footwear, one light, one medium for trekking. One backpack (30-40 litres).

Also:

• swimming trunks/bathing suit
• flash light
• water bottle

Climate

The weather during our Follow the Dakar Expedition should be very good in general. In the Northwest, near the province of Salta, temperatures are app. 22°C average with max. 25 to 28°C. It could be colder at night as well as in the higher mountains (3000 to 5000 meters). During this period, there will be nearly no rainfall in Argentina & Chile. As we will cross deserts and salt lakes at 3000 to 4000 meters, the days will be usually cool to hot and the nights can get very cold.
