Pico da Neblina | Amazon Wildlife

Our most impressive Amazon expedition is our Pico da Neblina jungle and climbing expedition which leads you to the top of the Pico da Neblina, the highest mountain in Brazil. This mountain has an altitude of 2994 meters, is located on the Brazilian - Venezuelan border, and lies in the middle of the Imeri mountain range. You will travel deep into the Amazon forest to a lost town of gold diggers, crossing rivers en route until reaching a point near the mountain where you can only continue on foot. Walking and climbing through a mysterious, prehistoric- like landscape of green flowers, like none other on Earth, you will slowly reach the rocky outcrop of the Neblina, which has only been climbed a few times, due to its isolated position, extreme wet climate and the tenuous political situation near the Venezuelan boarder.
